WHAT WE OFFER

Our goal is to enhance and improve the lives of our residents by lighting the way to hope and healing through the transforming life of Jesus Christ. S.T.A.N.D.'s goal is to take people that are brokenhearted and engulf them with love and compassion, to make them feel whole by means of:

  • Assessing their current situation and directing them to their future opportunities

  • Addressing the whole family as "new life" in a society by: solving personal growth and developmental problems, calamities and issues of life while eliminating life barriers, and self-deficiencies and society's perception.

Most importantly, we want to show people who feel there is no way, THE way.

Our vision

S.T.A.N.D., founded by Ken and Vernaye Denson, is a faith based home for single mothers and their children. If you need relief from "life" stresses and want to develop a vital and productive life for you and your family, come to S.T.A.N.D. -- Souls Touching Another Needing Deliverance. Here, our guests are treated with the utmost respect and we strive to assist you in meeting all of your basic needs while focusing on family structure along with fulfilling home ownership. S.T.A.N.D. is non-profit and 501c3 tax exempt; therefore we will acquire homes, apartments, and duplexes through private donations, local, state and federal donations to provide shelter and transitional facilities. Our vision is based on Matthew 25:31-40. We will feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, take in the stranger, clothe the naked, visit the sick and go to the prisons. We do not see color, economic background, or present condition. Just as Jesus said, "in as much as you do this to the least of these, you do it unto me."

In our community there is an ever increasing need for restoration for those that are homeless and dealing with the harsh realities of the economy during this seemingly hopeless time of their lives. S.T.A.N.D.'s desire is to not only help alleviate the harsh realities of this stressful time, but also effectively transform lives with compassion, empathy and love.

Our motto is, Where there is a need...We take a STAND!
